Electric Engineering Draftspersons and Technicians worked in most parts of Australia. They primarily work in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services; Construction; and Professional, Scientific and Technical Services. Common duties include:
prepare illustrations, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry
help Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the layout and design of electrical installations and circuitry on substations, switchgear, cabling systems and motor control systems
gather information, perform tests and calculations, graph results, and prepare charts and tabulations
