Registered Nurse (Child and Family Health)

Registered Nurses (Child and Family Health) administer nursing care to families and children, focusing on the early intervention, prevention and early detection of physical, emotional, and social diseases affecting children and their families. 

Most of the nurses are employed in the Health Care and Social Assistance industries. Minimum requirements for registered nurses include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration.  

Job Description

• prepare, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients as per accepted nursing practice and standards.

• consult with other health professionals and members of health staff and coordinating the care of patients.

• give interventions, treatments and therapies monitors responses to treatment and care plans. 

• promotes ill-health prevention through participation in health education and other related activities 

• provides information to patients and families about treatment and care. 

• manages the work of enrolled nurses and other health care workers
