Health Therapy Professionals

Health Therapy Professionals diagnose and treat illnesses and provide therapeutic services for disabilities. Common duties include: 

  • examine and test patients to determine the nature of disease, disorder, illness or problem

  • design and implement treatment plans to treat patients' problems

  • give guidelines on exercise, dietary, lifestyle and hygiene, adaptive equipment and correctional aid

  • record patients' medical histories such as past injuries, surgeries, general health and lifestyle

  • assess and document patients' treatment response and progress 

Most health therapy professionals are employed in Health Care and Social Assistance and full-time positions are usually available for this occupation.

Minimum requirements for Health Therapy Professionals lth therapy professionals include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience and registration.
