Health Therapy Professionals diagnose and treat illnesses and provide therapeutic services for disabilities. Common duties include:
examine and test patients to determine the nature of disease, disorder, illness or problem
design and implement treatment plans to treat patients' problems
give guidelines on exercise, dietary, lifestyle and hygiene, adaptive equipment and correctional aid
record patients' medical histories such as past injuries, surgeries, general health and lifestyle
assess and document patients' treatment response and progress
Most health therapy professionals are employed in Health Care and Social Assistance and full-time positions are usually available for this occupation.
Minimum requirements for Health Therapy Professionals lth therapy professionals include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience and registration.
