Skilled State Nomination Visa is a permanent visa allowing applicants to remain indefinitely in Australia, and exercise full working rights. The applicant is expected to remain in the nominating state/territory for at least 2 years after visa grant or arrival. If the visa is granted while the applicant is outside Australia, the applicant and family members must enter the country before the date specified by the Minister. While any partners and dependent children may be added after the application is lodged, any other dependent family members can be included in the application when it is lodged. This includes parents who live with and are financially dependent on the applicant. All additions would need to be made prior to a visa decision. Independent Migration: No. Employer Nomination: Not required. An International Recruitment Agency, however, may be able to help find a suitable job. State/Territory Government Nomination: Required. Each State/Territory maintains a list of occupations they need and may attach specific conditions with respect to specialised skills, work experience, or English language ability. At Konnecting, our skilled migration agents may be able to help you obtain this nomination. Family/Relative Sponsorship: Not required. Permanent Migration Pathway: This is a permanent residence (PR) visa. Employment Prospects: In theory, since the state/territory has approved the visa listed on the occupation in demand list by the State/Territory, then opportunities are high.
