What types of jobs do you recruit for, and in what industries?
We are recruiting for most occupations that are in the Australian shortage skills lists specifically in the following industries: Trades/Automotive, Engineering, Health & Medical, Scientific, Information Technology, Finance & Insurance, and Agricultural. We also recruit for very niche roles outside of the above-mentioned industries, including other specialist roles for regional areas of Australia, with a focus on, but not limited to, international candidates requiring employer-sponsorship.
What should I include in my job application?
Your application should include the following:
Cover letter – a brief of your current work situation and responses to the selection criteria
Current CV
Both the cover letter and current CV must be in either MS Word or PDF file format and must not exceed 4MB each to successfully get through our application database.
I would like to migrate to Australia through a visa-sponsored job, but there isn't a specific position currently being advertised that I want to apply for. What should I do?
Some of our vacancies are not being advertised. In the absence of a specific position on our website's job board, you may fill out the Migrant/Job Seeker form online here: https://www.konnecting.com/submit-resume and then attach your cover letter and updated resume in MS Word or PDF file format.
I'm having difficulty applying online via your website. What other options are available for me?
Alternatively, you may email your cover letter and updated resume in MS Word or PDF file format to recruit@konnecting.com, indicating the position of your interest as the email subject. We will respond to you whether or not we currently have suitable open roles for you. Unless specifically requested in succeeding emails, there is no need to attach files other than your updated resume and cover letter. Below may be added if and when applicable after our website enhancement: You can stay up to date with positions you are interested in by submitting a saved search at https://www.konnecting.com/users/register/new/registration. You will receive an email if a job posting matches your criteria.
Can you assist me in finding a job with 457 work visa sponsorship?
We are unable to directly facilitate employment with 457 work visa sponsorship, but we can provide guidance on how to find employers who may be willing to sponsor such visas. However, we may have employers seeking your specific skill set, so please check out our Job Board for the latest job vacancies.
Do you charge applicants for your recruitment service?
We do not charge applicants, whether local or international, for job placement. Under Australian law, employment agencies are prohibited from charging hiring fees to job applicants since recruitment fees are covered by the direct employer-client, including all expenses involved in the process of sponsorship and nomination in the case of international hires. Only the visa application itself and service fees for its processing are not part of the mandatory obligation of employer-sponsors.
An employer is willing to sponsor me for a job. Can you help us with the process of 457 sponsorship, nomination, and 457 work visa application?
Our in-house team of full-time registered migration agents in the office can certainly assist and guide you and your employer with the sponsorship process. You may send us a message online via our website https://www.konnecting.com/submit-resume with your and the employer's contact details, and we will shortly get in touch.
Can you assist with my search for temporary casual work while on a working holiday visa (WHV)?
Unfortunately, we do not handle any temporary staffing requirements. We recruit only for full-time permanent roles, which are mostly for occupations that are work visa-sponsored. Our hiring client companies usually consider those on WHV if they are seeking long-term employment, with a view to permanent residency.
How will I know if my application was received?
You will receive an auto response from the recruitment team when your application is submitted online.
How long will the recruitment process take?
Within 1 to 3 weeks after submitting your job application, you will be contacted by the Recruitment Team if you have been shortlisted for the initial interview. Only eligible applications will be entertained and addressed. Once shortlisted and endorsed by the hiring client's company, the progress of each application largely depends on the interest and availability of our hiring managers to conduct further interviews. Interviews are generally held within 1 month of the job ad posting, a decision is usually made shortly after the last interview, and an offer is made within a week. Job offers are made subject to reference checks, verification of qualifications, and any relevant pre-employment checks.
I do not currently have working rights within Australia but would like to apply for a position. Can I still apply?
Yes, you have the opportunity to apply, as the majority of our hiring client companies serve as approved employer sponsors. However, when qualifications and work experience relevant to an open position are equal, candidates who are currently onshore are always given priority for interviews over those who are still outside the country.
Are referees contacted before interviews or after? Can I bring in my referee details with me to the interview or email them prior?
Make sure to include referee details in your initial application. You may add them at the end of your resume. For some positions and depending on the hiring client's company policy, written references may be required prior to the interview. Most verbal references are conducted post-interview.
I received an email from your recruitment team that my application was unsuccessful. Can I apply for other advertised open positions?
Yes, you can be considered for another position even if you fail in one. When applications are unsuccessful, it does not always mean you are not qualified but may not be "visa eligible" and/or simply may have been bested by other candidates who are already onshore and with qualifications and industry experience that more closely match the job requirements.
How can I be 457 visa-eligible to apply for jobs with employer sponsorship?
To be visa-eligible for employer sponsorship and increase your chances of being prioritised for job interviews of hiring companies, it is ideally recommended that you are able to present at least 3 years' work experience relevant to the position and a relevant qualification that is recognised in Australia.
