Skilling Australian Fund (SAF) Levy

It is highly recommended for employers to review their current inventory of 457 visa holders, and if possible consider lodging permanent visas before the March 2018 changes to avoid the SAF 

 

        Training will be made by a contribution to the Skilling Australian Fund (SAF) 

 

a)      Payable in full at the time of the Nomination application;

 

b)      Cost for TSS visa applications:

i)        $1,200 per year per nominee, or part-year, per nominee for small businesses i.e. annual turnover of less

        than $10 million); (i.e. up to $2,400) and

ii)      $1,800 per year, or part year, per nominee for all other businesses. (i.e. up to $7,200)

 

c)       Costs for Permanent visas (ENS & RSMS, Subclasses 186 & 187):

i)        $3,000 one-off per nominee for small business; and

ii)      $5,000 one-off per nominee for larger businesses i.e. defined as $10 million and over.

i)        $5,000 one-off per nominee for larger businesses i.e. defined as $10 million and over.

 

        NB: It is highly likely that provisions will be made that prevents these costs from being passed on to the nominee consistent with

        the  current legislation in relation to the costs associated to the Nomination application in the current Subclass 457 visa.

 

nd if possible consider lodging permanent visas before the March 2018 changes to avoid the SAF.
