What types of jobs do you recruit for and in what industries?

We are recruiting for most occupations that are in the Australian shortage skills lists, specifically in the following industries:

  • Trades/Automotive
  • Engineering
  • Health & Medical
  • Scientific

  • Finance & Insurance
  • Agricultural

We also recruit for very niche roles outside of these industries, including specialist roles for regional areas of Australia, with a focus on international candidates requiring employer-sponsorship.

How is Konnecting different from other recruitment agencies?

Konnecting is a one-stop service provider, combining specialist recruitment with in-house migration expertise. Our consultants source skilled tradespeople, professionals, and managers, while our Registered Migration Agents (RMAs) guide employers through sponsorship, nomination, and visa applications—ensuring a smooth and compliant process.

Do you assist in recruiting only international candidates?

No, we also recruit local applicants. Since most of our hiring clients have an urgent need to fill positions, we give priority to suitable local candidates who are immediately available. We generally consider overseas applicants when suitable candidates cannot be found onshore.

Can Konnecting assist our company in hiring international workers on contract appointments?

All of our job requirements are for full-time, permanent roles. Currently, we do not have a labor-hire agreement in place to enable us to hire and sponsor directly for deployment to client companies for specific project assignments.

What are the processes involved in sponsoring a foreign worker?

There are three stages of the employer sponsorship process:

  • Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS): The company applies for SBS. Once approved, it is valid for 5 years, allowing you to nominate qualified overseas employees.
  • Nomination: The employer nominates a specific position. Approved nominations remain valid for one year.
  • Visa: The recruit applies for the visa under the approved nomination. Our Registered Migration Agents guide you through the full process to ensure compliance.
Can you assist us in finding and directly sponsoring qualified workers from offshore?

Yes, we can. Our recruitment consultants have extensive experience sourcing candidates both locally and overseas (UK, Ireland, South Africa, Philippines, Singapore, India, and Malaysia). Konnecting has the legal expertise to advise your company on applying for or renewing 'Standard Business Sponsorship' (SBS) and assessing eligibility based on Department of Home Affairs requirements.

What are the employer-sponsor's obligations if we recruit foreign workers?

Employer obligations under relevant legislation (such as subclass 482 or 187) include:

  • Satisfying minimum pay requirements.
  • Providing local equivalent terms and conditions of employment.
  • Meeting training benchmarks for Australians and permanent residents.
  • Keeping records and updating conditions.
  • Paying travel costs for sponsored workers to leave Australia when needed.
  • Avoiding discriminatory recruitment practices.
