Job description

We are seeking skilled and experienced Metal Fabricators/Welders to join a growing team in Moree, NSW.

Our client is a long-established, family-operated business providing agricultural contracting, transport, and custom fabrication services. With a strong presence in the cotton and bulk goods industries, BMC has built a reputation for innovation, craftsmanship, and reliable service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Measuring, cutting, bending, and fabricating metal components with precision.
  • Operating fabrication machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, and shears.
  • Welding components using SMAW/MMA/MIG/TIG techniques.
  • Grinding, polishing, and conducting quality checks on completed products.
  • Assisting with custom manufacturing projects such as chainbeds, walkways, and cotton picker modifications.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in line with safety standards and company policies.
Candidate Profile
  • Trade-qualified Metal Fabricator/Boilermaker (or equivalent).
  • Strong skills in MIG/TIG welding and fabrication.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Solid understanding of fabrication processes and engineering design.
  • CNC machine operation experience will be regarded as advantageous.
  • Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and physically capable of handling large components.
  • Previous experience in agricultural or heavy machinery fabrication highly desirable.
