Paediatric Surgeons

Paediatric Surgeon perform surgery to children from birth to adolescence. They work in the Health Care and Social Assistance industries.  Most of the nurses are employed in the Health Care and Social Assistance industries. 

Minimum requirements for paediatric surgeon include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration. 

Job Description

• review the patient’s medical history, physical conditions and reaction to the medication  

• consult with patients and family members regarding diagnosis and treatment options

• perform surgeries to correct deformations, congenital problems, injuries, or treat illnesses

• prescribe post-operative care, and monitor patients' progress

• maintain records of operations
