Job Description
review patient’s medical history, physical conditions and reaction to medication and order diagnostic test to determine whether they have any conditions within the heart or vessels that need treatment
treat coronary artery disease or blockages in the heart, heart valve(s), leaking heart valve(s), abnormal enlargement or aneurysms of the large arteries in the chest, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation
perform surgery on the heart, lungs, esophagus, blood vessels and other organs in the thoracic cavity.
prescribe post-operative care and observes patients' progress
maintain records of operations
