Engineering - Mechanical Engineer Draftperson & Technicians

Mechanical Engineering Draftspersons and Technicians are employed throughout Australia, particularly in the manufacturing, construction, mining, and professional, scientific and technical services sectors. They provide vital support to mechanical engineers in the design, modification and maintenance of machinery, equipment and mechanical systems.

Common duties include:

• Preparing detailed drawings, plans and 3D models of mechanical equipment, machines, tools and systems

• Assisting engineers and technologists with the design, testing and documentation of mechanical installations

• Conducting measurements, tests and performance calculations, and preparing technical charts and reports

• Inspecting completed designs and equipment for compliance with Australian standards, specifications and safety requirements
