Duties
review illustrations, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed
identify defects in telecommunications equipment using ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment
attach wires and cables to appliances
adjust, replace and fix defective items, and testing equipment using electronic instrument
install cabling for telephone, pay-TV, radio and computer transmission
erect, test and maintain aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae
install telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment
