Duties
check plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
remove old tiles, grout and adhesive, fill holes and cracks, and clean surfaces to prepare wall and floor surfaces
cut and shape tiles for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
apply adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
ensure tiles are correctly aligned and spaced
apply waterproofing systems
arrange floors of terrazzo, granolithic, cement or similar composition
arrange coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics
