Gasfitter

Gasfitter install, maintain and repair gas lines and gas equipment like gas meters, regulators, heating units, and appliances in the residential, commercial and industrial establishment. Minimum requirements for glaziers include diploma and relevant experience. Common duties include:

Duties

• review blueprints and illustrations to determine necessary work details 

• install, fix and maintain gas meters, regulators, gas lines and gas appliances

• test and replace defective equipment

• attend to gas-escape calls and assisting in the investigation of gas fires and explosion

• advise clients on safety features and maintenance of gas units
