Drainer

Drainers design, set-up and maintain below-ground drainage system, plumbing system structure, hot and cold-water system and related sewerage disposal system.  Minimum requirements for drainer include diploma, relevant experience and registration.

Duties

• review illustrations and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials needed 

• design and set up sanitary plumbing and water supply systems

• fabricate and install soil and waste stacks

• assemble and set up mechanical services plant, air handling and conditioning equipment and small-bore heating systems

• set up sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems

• install below-ground drainage systems and related ground support systems
