Bricklayer prepare brickwork and blockwork for domestic, commercial, industrial and public buildings.  Minimum requirements for airconditioning and mechanical services plumber include diploma, relevant experience and registration.

Duties

• lay brick, structural tile, and concrete cinder, glass, gypsum, and terra cotta block to build or repair walls, partitions, arches, sewers, chimney, smokestacks and other structures

• cut and prepare bricks, layout patterns and foundations, mix and spread mortar, and lay the bricks 

• ensure structures are level, clean excess mortar and polish all new surfaces 

• restore, clean or paint existing brick structures 

• read and interpret sketches and blueprints
