Main Duties

• Cutting of steel
• Loading and Unloading trucks
• Receipt goods on the system
• Preparation, processing and checking of orders
• Inventory control
• Stock requisitions and storage.
• Ensure Workplace health and safety compliance
• Operate machinery (particularly cutting equipment) and heavy lifting
• Warehousing & distribution

Experience & Competencies

• Forklift licence essential - crane licence required
• Must have a valid driver's license (truck licence an advantage).
• Computer Literacy
• Good customer service skills / people skills.
• Technical experience - not necessary, but an advantage.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of the fabrication, engineering, industrial products distribution or manufacturing environments an advantage.
• Familiar with steel or other metal products and terms.
• Technical aptitude.
