  • English Language Requirements: US citizens who completed their high school education in the US automatically qualify for Threshold English which is awarded 15 points in the Visa Points Test. You may take the IELTS test to prove Proficient English and gain a further 10 points
  • Skills Assessment: You may find that many professional bodies in both Ireland & Australia have similar occupation recognition criteria, therefore making the assessment that your skills is equivalent to that of Australian standards.
  • Sponsored Family Visas: Konnecting can also assist you with Sponsored Family Visas, if you have family already living in Australia, or if your partner is an Australian citizen.
  • Working Holiday Visa: Americans under the age of 30 are eligible to take part in the Working Holiday Makers visa. It's a temporary one-time visa which allows US nationals to live in Australia for 1 year, while working to supplement their travel. You can work with any one employer for a maximum of six months. A one year extension is available to those who undertake 'specified work' for 3 months in regional Australia (e.g. harvest-related work like fruit picking).
  • Students: American nationals are considered low risk of overstay/breaching visa conditions, therefore is granted Assessment Level 1 (i.e. less evidence required).
  • Tourists: American nationals are eligible for an ETA visa from a travel agent and are also an eligible country to apply online for an e-visitor (e676) visa. This is an online tourist visa valid for 3 months & this visa valid for multiple visits within 12 months from the date of issue.
