BANKING FOR MIGRANTS

One of the first things you will do when you arrive in Australia is open a bank account. Otherwise, where will your employer bank your wages? The four main banks in Australia are Commonwealth Bank, ANZ Bank, Westpac (inc St George Bank) and National Australia Bank (NAB). All of the banks now have facilities where you can open a bank account before you even arrive, thus allowing you to transfer your funds easily from your home country.
